Jim Lahm has been in the Global Positioning System (GPS) industry for 30 years. He began by selling Trimble Navigation products for a local survey supply dealer in Oregon in 1987. Within two years he became the GPS sales specialist, focusing on selling and supporting GPS hardware and software, including all survey and mapping products. Responsibilities consisted of contacting potential customers, providing field demonstrations and conducting seminars, assessing customer’s equipment needs, providing procurement proposals, installing the equipment and providing hardware/software support and installation training.
