In this presentation, the authors demonstrate an integrated process to evaluate proposals based on their impacts and costs and promote decisions informed by data and geospatial information.  Active Transportation projects for cities/municipalities are the focus.  We describe an approach developed by the Urban Transportation Center, and demonstrate how it can be applied to transportation projects to a mid sized city in the Puget Sound.  We describe how the freely available Ecosystem Management Decision Support tool can be used to jump start the analysis in ArcMap, the data needed, and expertise required of a city.  Finally we discuss the benefits and challenges of the approach for mid-size cities.
