The Survey123 App is being implemented by Comprehensive Life Resource (CLR) on behalf of the City of Tacoma for a Positive Interactions Homeless Outreach Program to collect information about homeless individuals and business affected by homelessness. The Relevant and Multi-select functionalities of that app have improved data collection workflows by only displaying relevant questions to the type of survey the field crew is collecting information on. Deploying the app to cell phones has helped keep the cost low and production high while replacing paper forms. The Web App Builder helped create custom apps for monitor homeless individuals, services disturbed to individuals, and field crew’s time while still being able to share the data on ArcGIS Online to other agencies.

This short presentation details the challenges facing Tacoma’s homeless population and how Esri Survey123 with custom development have been instrumental in helping CLR to record incidents, interactions between citizens and businesses, and many other aspect of homeless life.  James Pogue, the head of this important program and Jim Lahm from Frontier Precision, Inc. are co-presenting.
